In Spanish, the name of the city, Jerez (de la Frontera), is also the name of the wine: Sherry. Jerez and wine share a story of many years.
Just one hour away from Sevilla, Jerez beautifully combines history, tradition, and the unique flavour of its legendary Sherry wines. This experience is a mix of culture, architecture, and gastronomy. From exploring the elegant streets of Jerez de la Frontera, to tasting Sherry directly in its birthplace, you will experience one of the most emblematic wine regions in Spain.
Historic Centre of Jerez de la Frontera
In a one-hour walking tour through the charming historic centre of Jerez, you will explore its elegant squares, impressive churches, and traditional Andalusian streets. You may also choose to visit the interior of the Alcázar of Jerez as an optional stop, depending on your interests.
Sherry Wine Cellar Experience
One of Jerez’s most iconic experiences is to visit a cellar and taste its wine: an immersive tour of the famous Tío Pepe Bodega, where you’ll learn about the production, ageing, and traditions behind Sherry wine—one of Andalucía’s most celebrated exports. Your visit concludes with a tasting session, allowing you to savour the distinctive varieties of this exceptional wine.
If you prefer a smaller, more intimate cellar, we can organise a visit to Bodega Fundador or another boutique winery.
Visit the White Town of Lebrija
To conclude your day, on the way back to Sevilla, you can add a stop in Lebrija, a charming white town known for its authentic Andalusian character. Stroll through its historic streets and enjoy its peaceful local atmosphere.
NOTE: This experience is subject to availability, especially the cellar visit.
