info@spainprivateguides.com
Discover a different side of Sevilla with a walking tour dedicated to the city’s lesser-known treasures. As one of the oldest cities in Western Europe, Seville preserves an extraordinary architectural heritage, especially in its northern historic districts. This tour offers a unique opportunity to explore remarkable monuments—some centuries old, others strikingly modern—accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide.
Over the course of this 4-hour walking tour, you will explore four extraordinary monuments built in different historical periods—each shedding light on Sevilla’s evolution from medieval power to modern cultural hub. Strolling through the La Encarnación district, the San Bartolomé quarter, and the San Marcos area, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the city’s rich past and vibrant identity.
Casa de Pilatos
Visit inside the impressive Casa de Pilatos, a 15th-century noble palace blending Mudéjar, Gothic, and Renaissance styles. Its courtyards, azulejos, and serene gardens make it one of Sevilla’s most captivating historic residences.
Palacio de las Dueñas
Continue to the Palacio de las Dueñas, another 15th-century palace filled with art, poetry, and aristocratic history. Once home to the Dukes of Alba, this palace is a masterpiece of Andalusian architecture and a true hidden gem.
Convento de Santa Paula
The peaceful Convento de Santa Paula is a cloistered convent founded in the 15th century. Known for its serene atmosphere, sacred art, and handmade sweets, it offers a rare glimpse into Sevilla’s monastic traditions.
Metropol Parasol
Sevilla’s most contemporary landmark is Metropol Parasol, is also known as Las Setas. This massive wooden structure, inaugurated in 2011, features spectacular views and the Antiquarium, an archaeological site preserving ancient Roman and Moorish remains.
