Sevilla: Must-See Great Monuments

0

Explore Seville’s rich history through its three most iconic sites: the Alcázar, the Cathedral, and the Barrio de Santa Cruz. These landmarks reveal the city’s layered history, from its medieval roots to its vibrant present. Together, they form the cultural heart of Seville and offer a journey through centuries of art, architecture, and tradition.

The Royal Alcázar

Visit the inside of the Royal Alcázar, a masterpiece of Mudéjar architecture where Christian and Muslim influences blend seamlessly. Your guide will take you through its palaces and lush gardens, travelling from the Middle Ages to the Modern Era, discovering royal stories carved into every arch and courtyard.

Cathedral of Seville

Just a short walk away stands the Cathedral of Seville, often called “the hollow mountain” by locals. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it’s one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in Europe and a treasure chest of sacred art, from Gothic sculptures to Baroque masterpieces.

The Charm of Barrio de Santa Cruz

Complete your guided tour strolling through the enchanting Barrio de Santa Cruz, Seville’s old Jewish Quarter. Its maze-like streets, hidden patios, and whitewashed houses are filled with legends and timeless beauty. This is the perfect place to lose yourself, uncover local stories, and experience the soul of Seville up close.

NOTE:

Most of Seville’s old town is pedestrian, therefore, all our urban tours are on foot, and last about 4 hours. We can arrange pick-ups with a private vehicle and driver if you arrive by train or plane. Please contact us!

We recommend visiting Seville between the months of October and May. Between June and September, the heat can be very intense.

Highlights
  • Real Alcázar
