This walking tour is designed to showcase the city’s most iconic landmarks of Sevilla, the capital of Andalucia. It is perfect for first-time visitors, because this tour combines history, culture, and local charm as you explore Sevilla’s must-see attractions on foot.
This is a general description that can and will be adapted to your own interest and pace by your guide on the day of the tour.
Sevilla is a city made to be explored on foot, and this route allows you to experience its history, architecture, and vibrant atmosphere in the most authentic way.
Plaza de España & Maria Luisa Park
The breathtaking Plaza de España is the most pictured monument from the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. Stroll through the lush Maria Luisa Park, especially magical in spring when the scent of orange blossom fills the air.
Historic Center: Cathedral, Alcázar & Barrio de Santa Cruz
Walk through Sevilla’s UNESCO World Heritage zone, with unforgettable views of the Seville Cathedral and the Royal Alcázar. Explore the enchanting narrow streets of Barrio de Santa Cruz, the old Jewish quarter, where your guide will share stories, legends, and local insights.
If you wish to visit inside the Alcázar and the Cathedral, we have a Must-See Great Monuments tour specially designed for it!
University of Sevilla & Palacio de San Telmo
Stroll past the Antigua Tabacalera, today the University of Sevilla, and admire the baroque façade of the Palacio de San Telmo.
Riverfront Walk: Torre del Oro & La Maestranza
Continue along the banks of the Guadalquivir River to the iconic Torre del Oro and see the exterior of the famous Plaza de Toros de La Maestranza. If time permits, you will cross the Triana Bridge for a glimpse of authentic local life in one of Sevilla’s most traditional neighbourhoods.
Metropol Parasol (Las Setas)
Finish your tour at the vibrant Encarnación Market, beneath the striking Metropol Parasol, popularly known as Las Setas, a modern architectural landmark offering some of the best views in the city.
Most of Seville’s old town is pedestrian; therefore, all our urban tours are on foot, and last about 4 hours. We can arrange pick-ups with a private vehicle and driver if you arrive by train or plane.
We recommend visiting Seville between the months of October and May, considering that between June and September, the heat can be very intense.
Transportation is not included in the tour price. Any metro, bus, or taxi fares are at the visitors’ expense. Private transportation can be arranged upon request — contact us at info@spainprivateguides.com.
